Margarita del Val has a Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences, specializing in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and was a researcher at the Carlos III Health Institute in Majadahonda. She is currently a researcher at the Severo Ochoa Molecular Biology Center in Madrid, directing her research towards the study of the immune response to pathogens in animal models of infection and vaccination and member of the Superior Council for Scientific Research. Represented Spain at the European Medicines Agency (EMA) for the marketing of medicines.
