Maria João Rocha Brito is a pediatrician and head of the Infectious Diseases Unit at Hospital Dona Estefânia. He graduated in medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra and held a Master's Degree in Clinical Microbiology. In 2013 he joined the panel of experts on the technical committee for vaccines.
